| Q.1: What's the difference between your Fit Forever! online program and your various books and videos?
|
A: The Fit Forever! Web site takes the best of my books and videos and customizes it for you and your body. Every day, you'll get simple exercises and delicious recipes that are tailored to your own individual tastes and needs. You'll get daily tips and motivation from me in the Morning Stretch newsletter. You'll also have access to your own online Journal and a community of thousands of other Fit Forever! subscribers in the Message Boards. We're a team, doing this together on the Web site! It's like having your own personal trainer, dietician, and support group right in the comfort of your own home. And it's easy! All you have to do is log on, and I guide you through the program. I'm on the site every day—and I see people getting great results!

Q.2: What time—and how often—does your exercise show run on Lifetime TV?
A: My show "Fit and Lite" airs from 7 to 7:30 a.m. EST/PST every weekday on Lifetime TV. My "Daily Workout" airs right after that, from 7:30 to 8 a.m. EST/PST. You can learn more about my upcoming TV appearances on the What's Doing With Denise page.

Q.3: If I'm just trying to maintain my current weight—not lose any—how much cardio should I do weekly?
A: I suggest doing aerobic exercise three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes to condition the heart and give you energy and endurance.

Q.4: How can I get rid of my cellulite?
A: I get this question all the time and, unfortunately, there is no easy solution. Cellulite is essentially subcutaneous fat in the buns and thighs that most women experience in varying degrees—myself included. This fat is no different from fat in any other part of your body, except that it can be a little harder to lose. The key is to reduce your overall body fat by engaging in regular aerobic exercise and eating a sensible, low-fat diet. As I mentioned earlier, toning exercises can also help give this area a smoother, firmer look. You'll find great toning exercises for your midsection and lower body on Fit Forever!

Q.5: I am having a problem sticking to my exercise routine. I will do great for two weeks, and then suddenly I seem to find reasons to quit. I get so angry at myself. Any advice on how I can stay focused?
A: Treat your exercise routine no differently than an important appointment that you have to keep. If you incorporate it into your life (like brushing your teeth), it will become a part of your life for good! You should also take advantage of the daily support you'll find on Fit Forever! We all need help staying motivated, and in the Fit Forever! Message Boards and online Journal you'll meet thousands of others just like you. I'm on the Web site every day, too, to see how everybody is doing. It's a great online support system.
