Well, you've come to my web site for some exercise and eating-right advice. I'll bet while you're looking at the computer right now, that you're sitting at a desk . You might be one of the many who work at a desk most of the day too.

The work environment has dramatically changed in the past century, and our waistlines are showing it. As our world has become more computer-run, automated and convenient, we're not getting the activity in our day that we used to get. Sitting at a desk all day doesn't burn as many calories as farming a field of crops!

But there is help! You can work some more activity into your day. By doing some mini-exercises - some right at your desk - and you can burn a few more calories and prevent boredom. Working at a desk and staring at a computer monitor can also be hard on your body - so I've got some tips and exercises for preventing some common problems too.

I call these mini-exercises "Deskercises." By doing these exercises you can burn some extra calories and strengthen and stretch your muscles a little too. And you get to take a break from your work for a few minutes! Take a few moments to do a deskercise or two everyday - and you will be on your way to looking and feeling better. You may even find some inspiration for your work too!

Keep in mind that these mini-exercises aren't enough by themselves to get you fit, but every little bit counts. And if you burn a few extra calories in a day, you may be able to lose weight a little more quickly and keep it off later.
