It's another Ask Denise, and this is a popular topic - how do I get rid of muffin top??? This is a common area of concern, especially as we get older, and menopause belly becomes a reality for many of us women. The good news is that you CAN tackle that belly and waist line area, so you never have to ask "How I can get rid of muffin top" again!

My approach is three-pronged: cardio, eating right and doing a move to really target the muffin top area.

Muffin Top Tips:

Cardio. Aerobic exercise is a must for overall health - it is so good for your heart, weight, metabolism and more! While I recommend a variety of cardio workouts, walking is one that fits every age group. Aim for at least 4 days of walking each week, for better health overall AND to help rev up your metabolism and promote a healthy weight!

Nutrition. What you eat really can affect your waistline, so stay away from the processed foods and replace with whole, fresh foods. Start by swapping out a bag of salty snacks for a small handful of raw or lightly toasted nuts or fresh veggies and hummus - both will satisfy a salty craving and are so much better for you, offering up healthy protein, fiber and vitamins. And if you crave sweets, a piece of whole fruit is just as tasty as a scoop of ice cream or a cookie - and will help you get rid of muffin top when you make this swap! My Whole Body Plan has an entire recipe section with a customizable meal plan offering up snacks and your regular meals - and you pick whether you want low-sodium, gluten-free, vegetarian and more. Simple, easy and delicious - a great way to help get rid of muffin top!

Targeted Moves. Finally, I do specific targeted moves to address menopause belly and muffin top - try the ones in my all new video, below! I have been doing these for years, and they really work. How Do I Get Rid Of Muffin Top?

Hi everybody. A lot of you asked me about the muffin top. All right here. Well, I can relate. I understand that especially after 50 this is the area that we all get our little menopause belly, but it doesn't have to be that way. We can fight it in three ways. It's a three pronged attack to get rid of that muck muffin top. Number one, we've got to do something cardio, so walk four days a week, anything cardio, then we've got to eat right, so we've got to get rid of a lot of those, you know, processed foods and sugars and be healthy. Eat five fruits and vegetables every day even more if you can. Lean protein and then targeted exercise.

So this is one of my favorite ones. Reaching out like this. This works, that muffin top. Reach out. I love that one. The other one I like to do is side to side just to twist, but when I'm doing this, tightening up my apps, very important. Then the second one is this one really cool pull. That's it. Stomach in and back. Strong and straight. The good posture. This one helps too. Okay. And always think about good posture throughout the day. Pull in your tummy and tense and tighten up that. Tell me for five seconds, and that's equal to one step. So throughout the day, Ben, did your waistline tighten up the tummy, move that ways so it all has better circulation, and you can do it. Just do the best you can every day. Do a little something for the waistline. Okay? So a twist, a sit up. You could also do steps just like this. This works, those apps too. Okay, so pull in the TBI, good posture, and then do little crunches, little crutches, pull and hollow out the apps. That helps too. So remember, stay fit, because you are worth it.
