As we get older, promoting lean, healthy muscles becomes even more important - muscle is what helps us have good posture, keeps us moving, lifting and strong, and helps to keep our metabolism running and our weight in check! Unfortunately, as we get older we lose muscle mass, which is known as sarcopenia. Sarcopenia is to muscle loss as osteoporosis is to bone loss - something we want to prevent! Beginning in our 40s, we lose one to three percent of muscle mass a year! Lean, healthy muscles are one of the best defenses you can make against aging, whether you are a woman or a man. That's why it is so important to focus on building and maintaining healthy muscles.
When it comes to keeping my muscles strong and healthy, I follow a two-step process: Get in some good strength training at least two times per week, and drink Rejuvenate to help support and maintain muscle health!
