Cardio Kickboxing: Sweat Your Way to Fit!

Today we’re talking about having a little fun with your Cardio! This video is a clip of one of my fat blasting cardio workouts from my Daily Workout TV Show, in honor of Throwback Thursday, that was filmed in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Cardio is the best way to burn fat and if you can have a little fun while you’re doing it, even better. For my 10-Week Plan I’ve created brand new cardio workouts with lots of interval cardio training to mix it up, with variations for Level 1, Level 2 or really advanced at Level 3—all extremely effective at firming up your muscles and torching fat. Walking, running and swimming are terrific forms of cardio, too, (and important for reaching your fitness goals) but I love changing things up a bit by adding different types of cardio such as kickboxing which helps you to move your muscles in a fresh way—and that means you burn more calories and fat.

The important thing with any cardio is to get your heart rate up, and with these kickboxing workouts you’ll also be sculpting strong, lean arms and legs. Focus on moves that do double duty, working not just one part of your body at a time, but at least two. For example, when you’re kicking, you’re not only boosting your heart rate and burning fat right off those legs, but also sculpting your butt and thighs. Cardio Kickboxing will also increase your stamina and strength, two things that make you look lean and fabulous, just in time for Summer. Kicking front, kicking back, kicking sides, the different kicks and punches all work different muscles that give you that great tone!
