Even if you are staying put this holiday season, make sure you’re getting your blood flowing and keeping up your healthy exercise routine. A 10-minute walk around the block may not seem like much, but it can make a huge difference!
This is a tough one… How can you even think about eating breakfast and lunch when you know you’ll be loading up a plate of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing in just a few hours? No matter the size of the meal, it’s important to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and healthy snacks every day to keep your metabolism working as it’s supposed to. The Eating Plan in my membership includes healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks so you fill up on the nutrients you need to stay full and satisfied.
Instead of letting typical holiday stress and tension build up in your mind and body, find a healthy way to release them throughout the season. Try something like yoga in the morning, stretching before bed, or diffusing a lavender essential oil. My Whole Body Plan has a wonderful Yoga Refresh Challenge – a perfect way to get exercise AND release stress and tension…
Sipping on holiday beverages can make you even more dehydrated than normal. To avoid getting too dehydrated, be conscious of the amount of water you’re drinking. And if you’re drinking alcohol, try to drink a glass of water in between each drink.
The holidays are about enjoying time with family, relaxing, and indulging a little bit. If you miss a workout or eat a bad meal, don’t beat yourself up about it! Just remember that every little bit of movement counts and helps you stay healthy!
I hope these holiday wellness goals help YOU this holiday season – you are worth it!!
Let’s get fitter, together – inside and out!
