M is for Motivation AND for MOM!

Denise and Katie Austin

Hi Everyone!

I LOOOOOVE May!  It’s such a great month.  We get to CELEBRATE fitness, and the most important…MOTHERS!  In honor of Mother’s Day coming this Sunday, I motivate all of you to get your mothers moving with you this week and if you are a Mom, get up and do something active with your kids!  And I’ll make it easy for you all by giving you my 10-minute Mother/Daughter Workout from my 10 Week Plan for FREE!

I love being a Mom more than anything in the whole wide world.  I miss my Mom so much and one of the best ways I try to honor her is by being a great Mom…like she was to all 5 of us kids.  There’s no greater joy!

Also, I’m giving away a FREE 10 WEEK PLAN!  All you have to do is tell me why you love your Mom or why you love being a Mom!  Share it with me right here on my blog in the comments or social media accounts Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and I’ll pick a winner by Mother’s Day! Can’t wait to hear all of your stories! Having a Mom and being a Mom is the most special part of life.

Love always from Your Personal Trainer,

It wouldn’t let me comment before so I put my post on two twitter tweets because it would not fit on one. If I need to post here I can repost.

I love being a mom to my 4 beautiful and supportive children. My 2 in college are still as close as ever and while our relationships evolve and change the tight bond doesn’t. My younger daughters are becoming strong women and confident in who they are becoming.
I love to coach my kids on and off the soccer field and that we have that shared passion! Who knew a sport could link you so tightly!
Being a mom who works outside the home has its own challenges, but by being a team we get through and I am hopeful that they are empowered to become whoever they want and dream to become. My own mom who is 83 gave me the gift of believing I could be and do anything and I hope I have passed that onto my kids. I wouldn’t trade being a mom for any other experience!

I love my 82-year-old mom because she is one of the strongest women I know. Her independent, confident, and Christ-like spirit has taught me how to be the same in my life. My mom had to drop out of high school at age 16 so she could go to work supporting herself and her mom. It wasn’t until she was in her late 20s/early 30s that she finally got her GED, attend college, and graduated with a teaching degree – all while being married and raising 3 young children and pregnant with a 4th (me!).

She is the matriarch to an ever-growing family and has done on it her own for the last 20 years since my dad passed. Although her grandchildren’s lives are very different than anything she understands, she works to support and love them no matter what.

Regardless of the weather, my mom walks for 30 minutes every day and it’s a rare occasion she misses a day. She is a role model in fitness for sure and makes me want to keep up my plan!

Although challenging at times being the daughter of such a strong woman, I am so grateful that the discipline was there. I am so lucky to get to spend Mother’s Day with my mom again this year!
