Promote Lean, Healthy Muscles In 2 Steps!

Denise Austin by Denise Austin | April 6, 2021 | Workouts

As we get older, promoting lean, healthy muscles is important – muscle is what gives us good posture, helps keep us moving, lifting and strong, and helps to keep our metabolism humming and our weight in check! Unfortunately, as we get older we lose muscle mass, which is known as sarcopenia. Sarcopenia is to muscle loss as osteoporosis is to bone loss – something we want to prevent!  Lean, healthy muscles are one of the best defenses against aging, whether you are a woman or a man, but beginning in our 40s, we lose one to three percent of muscle mass a year! That’s why it is so important to focus on healthy muscles.

When it comes to keeping my muscles strong and healthy, I follow a two-step process: Get in some strength training at least two times per week, and drink Rejuvenate to help support and maintain muscle health!

Strength training. There are different ways to incorporate strength training into your workouts and lifestyle. You can lift weights, use resistance bands, or use your body weight as a way to increase your muscle mass. Each of these will help to produce lean, healthy muscles, and prevent muscle loss (plus boost your metabolism!!). If you are new to strength training, I suggest starting with exercises that use your body weight as resistance – pushups or couch dips that use arm muscles, and lunges and squats that work the leg, thigh and booty muscles. Start slowly, with 10 minutes a day, three times per week, and ease into it. If you are more advanced, aim for 30 minutes two to three times per week for the best results.

Rejuvenate. You can also support your strength training efforts and promote muscle health by adding Rejuvenate to your diet. I recently discovered this delicious drink, and am so excited to share it with you – especially those of you over 40! Rejuvenate is clinically proven to increase the body’s ability to rebuild and repair lost muscle by 57% at rest. It also helps in rebuilding lost muscle and preventing muscle loss in those who have had surgery, which is good news if you or a loved one is worried about muscle atrophy. It took 17 years to develop this product, and it has 25 peer-reviewed clinical published studies to back it up, which is just one of the reasons I have been drinking it! With nine essential amino acids (which you need to get through your diet, to help restore and repair lean muscle), plus a great taste that is sugar free and low in calories, it’s the perfect complement to my lifestyle and age, leaving me with the peace of mind that I am doing all I can to promote healthy muscle mass. Plus, having all nine essential amino acids allows you to stimulate metabolism of protein in your diet, to maximize muscle repair. Learn more about Rejuvenate and see if it is right for you!*

So for lean, healthy muscles that are strong and sexy, combine strength training and Rejuvenate! Remember that muscle mass is an indicator of good health: Strong muscles means more calories burned, less risk of certain diseases, and better strength and mobility!! A win-win when you combine these steps together. Rejuvenate works for both men and women, so give it a try!

Let’s get fitter, together – inside and out,

Denise
