Eating healthy And Exercising
I’m so excited to be starting a new series on my blog—#TeamDenise Spotlights! In each post, we’ll be featuring someone from our community who’s reaching their goals and excited to share their progress with all of us.
#TeamDenise community member Michelle just completed her THIRD 10-week program with us, and I couldn’t be prouder. She had been feeling depressed, frustrated, and unhealthy. Now, she’s back to feeling like her happy, healthy self again.

My name is Michelle Tully and you asked me recently to share my journey with you as to my experience with your 10 wk program. I don’t have a blog so I hope your fantastic support team will pass this along to you.
I completed my third 10 week program this past September. I truly enjoyed having all my meals planned out for me and I have continually been exercising each morning at 5:30 a.m.
In March of 2015, I developed chronic GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) and continue to battle with it. Mine is an odd case as the acid refluxes into my mouth. Yes, VERY annoying!! LOL!! At that time I weighed about 140 lbs. I’m only 5′ 3″ so I was above my usual weight. I started losing weight in a very unhealthy way because I couldn’t eat. Everything bothered me, not just the normal acidic foods.
I became depressed and frustrated. Tried every combination of reflux medications, had all kinds of testing done and nothing worked.
In February of 2016, I was tired of feeling sorry for myself and I was hungry! I had been thinking of joining your 10 wk program and finally decided I needed to take this disease into my own hands. I joined your program. At that time I was down to 125lbs. At this point I didn’t really need to lose weight, but wanted to get myself back to Eating healthy And Exercising. I needed a jump start and your program was it!
Denise, it was the best medicine for me! By having my meals planned out and exercising every day, after the first 10 weeks I was feeling like my old self again. Food I could eat!! I did have to swap out foods for others my stomach could tolerate but kept to the caloric intake. My confidence returned! I joined for another 10 weeks and continued on my journey to getting healthy. I dropped another 10 lbs. but it’s a healthy drop. My muscles are firming back up and I’m eating again. I joined for a third 10 week program just to keep myself on track. By this time, I had learned how to grocery shop and cook each day for me!!!
I am now maintaining my weight at 115 lbs. and feel fantastic! I’m still fighting the GERD but in a much better frame of mind. I know in my heart that I will find a cure and I have you to thank in helping me get back to feeling healthy. I bought your DVDs that go with the program and work out with them and the many, many other DVDs I’ve accumulated over the years. I still even have old VCR tapes too!
I am 57 yrs young and will continue to be young with you! Keep up the great work you do and THANK YOU Denise, you brought me back to health!!
