3 Muscle-Building Moves To Do This Holiday Weekend!!

With the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaching, let’s incorporate some strength-training exercises into your weekend! Give these three a try, courtesy of my latest Strong Body, Strong Mind magazine! You can do these anytime, anywhere - even with friends and family!!! 


Standing Twist


This is great for your sides and back - give it a try!

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hands behind your head. Lift your right leg up, reaching your left elbow toward your right knee. Do 20 reps, switching legs on each rep, then rest.


Low-Impact High Knees


This move is great for working your lower abs and legs - all while standing!

March in place, bringing your knees up as high as possible. This targets your lower abs and gets your heart rate up! Do this for 10 seconds, then rest and repeat for another 10 seconds.

Squat Punch and Hold



A great way to work the arms, abs and legs!! 

Stand with your feet hip-width apart, then lower into a squat. Hold your hands by your chin and alternate punching to the front as fast as you can. Do as many reps as you can in 45 seconds, then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat 2 times.
