5 Easy Ways To Make This The Summer Of Strength and Confidence!

Hi everyone! Summer is a wonderful time to reset and reconnect with yourself, and adding little upgrades to your daily life can have a big impact on your energy levels, inner glow and strength! Instead of a complete overhaul, start with small, proven healthy habits to get moving in the right direction. Here are a few to try this summer… you will feel - and look! - amazing in no time!

Walk every day - no matter what! Walking is so powerful - it gives you confidence, boosts your mood, gets your blood flowing, gives your metabolism a lift, and makes you feel good! This summer, make it a point to walk at least 10-20 minutes every day. Do an indoor walk like my Walk With Me Workout in my Membership if the weather is bad, otherwise, lace up and go outdoors! Drink more water. I wake up and drink a big glass of water first thing in the morning - it’s like watering a plant to help it come to life! Staying hydrated gives you energy, reduces bloating and keeps your skin looking plump and dewy. It’s one of the easiest habits to add to your routine!

Stretch your body every day! Staying flexible after 50 is so important - it means better posture, less stiffness, and even a lower risk of injury. My 5-minute stretches are a wonderful way to wake up or wind down - give them a try. You CAN give your body 5 minutes each and every day - it’s worth it!

Make sleep a priority not an afterthought. Especially as we get older, quality sleep is vital for balancing hormones, minimizing weight gain and setting you up for better clarity and a happier mood. Set a bedtime and stick to it - soon it will become a habit you (and your body) look forward to.

Lift weights. Strength training will help you gain healthy muscle, so you can live with independence and vitality! Start small: 2-3 pound hand weights will do, and follow one of my strength training programs. Adding these weights to your existing moves like lunges, squats or upper body moves will make a profound impact on how you look and feel, and I know you can do it! I am right here to lead you and cheer you on!

The good news is you don’t need to do everything perfectly. Add a short walk to your daily routine, drink an extra glass of water, take five minutes to stretch, spend five minutes using weights, and try to stick to a bedtime that works for you. In just days you will feel the difference, in weeks you will see the improvements, and by the end of the summer, you will be an amazing version of yourself!
