New Year, New Abs - Lifestyle Tips!
Welcome readers of my New Year, New Abs magazine! I get asked a lot about my positive personality, and I credit it in part to a simple, proven practice I love: Three Good Things. Studies show that doing this practice every night for three weeks can boost happiness and increase gratitude and overall wellbeing, while reducing burnout and negative emotions. It works by retraining your brain - which is naturally drawn to negativity - to notice and appreciate the positive moments we all experience every day - even if just for a moment!
I want each of you to try this this year - it takes just minutes, and can be a game changer when it comes to a day spent smiling or frowning!
Three Good Things
- Buy a dedicated notebook to keep by your bed.
- Every night, write down three good things that happened that day. They can be big, small, even something as minor as a beautiful flower spotted on the side of the road counts!
- Write these down for at least three weeks… and reflect on how your attitude has shifted!
