Denise's Morning Routine

Welcome readers of my Fit over 50: Strong Body, Strong Mind magazine! I am so grateful you are here, and excited to share my morning routine with you!! 1) Hydrate! I drink a glass of hot lemon water every morning - it helps to hydrate and offers up vitamin C - so good for energy and helps to plump your skin!

2) Perk Up and Plan! I try to have a cup of coffee with my husband if our schedules allow it - then we plan for the day. If I am solo, I write down my to-do's and organize them. 

3) Fuel Your Day! Then I eat a healthy, protein-forward breakfast. Usually it includes eggs, but it varies on what mood I am - overnight chia and protein smoothies (like the Antioxidant Superfood Smoothie Snack in my membership!) are also in the mix! 

4) Stretch and Workout! I love a good morning stretch - all it takes is 3-5 minutes, and it feels so good after. Then I do a quick 20-30 minute workout. Once you make working out part of your morning routine you will find it gives you so much energy and drive - plus you are done for the day!! My tip is to lay your workout clothes out the night before, and schedule an AM workout into your calendar so you stick with it! 5) Shower and Smile! Finally, I shower, making sure to moisturize and put on my SPF after (got to care for that skin!!), dress and put a smile on my face. This last part really gives me a positive outlook for the day, and gives me energy, too - give it a try!
