Tone Up in 10: My Favorite Lower Body Moves!
Strong legs, sculpted thighs, and a lifted tush - yes, please! If you’ve only got 10 minutes, that’s all you need to start feeling the burn and seeing results. Today, I’m sharing three of my favorite lower body exercises that target those major muscle groups. These are moves I come back to again and again because they really work!
Why focus on your lower body? Our legs, glutes, and thighs contain some of the largest muscles in the body, which means working them gives you the most bang for your buck! Not only will you tone and tighten your lower half, but you’ll also support better balance, boost your metabolism, and build strength that supports your everyday movement.
Here are 3 of my favorite lower body moves. Aim to do about 15 reps on each leg, 3 times each!
Outer Thigh Toner:

Lie on your side with your lower leg bent at a 90 degree angle. Lift your top leg up slowly, keeping your core engaged and your movement controlled. Lower it back down with resistance. You’ll feel this one in your hips and outer thighs.
Inner Thigh Toner:

Stay lying on your side, but lift your top leg up with your foot flexed toward the ceiling. Now, lift the bottom leg up to meet the top, working through your inner thighs. This move is small but mighty - you’ll feel the burn in just a few reps!
Tushie Toner:

Stand tall with a resistance band around your ankles. With control, extend one leg straight back behind you, squeezing your glutes. Return to start and switch sides. This is one of my go-to moves to lift and firm the backside (to make it your BEST side!) and it’s great for balance too.
