Hi everyone!

Fall is here, and you know what that means… cozy, comforting meals, warm spices, and delicious baked goods! Now.. of course I LOVE a good cinnamon roll, especially this time of year! But one thing I always make sure to prioritize in my daily routine is getting plenty of FIBER!

Have you heard about fiber-maxing? It's been making headlines lately, and for good reason! Fiber is an important part of a healthy, balanced diet, supporting digestion, gut health, and helping you feel satisfied after meals. The current dietary guidelines recommend about 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories consumed daily, so it's something I love to keep in mind when planning my meals and snacks.

My philosophy is simple: I want to nourish my body with wholesome, nutritious foods that make me feel GOOD! That means finding delicious ways to add more fiber to my plate, especially before I reach for those sweeter fall treats. And the best part? Eating well doesn't have to mean sacrificing flavor!

That's why I'm SO excited to share one of my favorite fall snacks from my newest issue of Fit Over 50: The Wellness Reset… my Butter Bean Hummus with Veggies!

A Creamy, Delicious Way to Get More Fiber!

If you're looking for a snack that's satisfying, flavorful, and easy to make, this recipe is for YOU! Butter beans blend into a wonderfully creamy hummus, while tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and cumin give it that delicious, savory flavor I just LOVE. The Greek yogurt adds an extra touch of creaminess, and protein, too!

And did I mention it takes just 10 MINUTES to prepare? I love having nourishing snacks ready to go in the refrigerator, especially during those busy fall days when I'm running around and need something quick between meals.

Beans are a wonderful source of dietary fiber, along with plant-based protein, making them a great ingredient to incorporate into your weekly routine. Pair this creamy dip with a colorful assortment of fresh vegetables, and you've got a scrumptious snack that's as nutritious as it is delicious!

My Favorite Ways to Serve It

This hummus pairs beautifully with all sorts of fall vegetables. I love serving it with carrot sticks, parsnips, radishes, and even homemade sweet potato chips! You can also try cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, or crisp celery for a little extra crunch.

My tip: Make a batch at the beginning of the week and keep it in the refrigerator for an easy, grab-and-go snack. Having something wholesome and delicious ready to enjoy makes it so much easier to stay on track with your wellness goals!

Let's Make This Fall a Little Healthier!

Healthy eating isn't about being perfect or giving up the foods you love. It's about finding little ways to nourish your body, make mindful choices, and build habits that help you feel your BEST!

As we head into this beautiful fall season, I encourage you to look for simple ways to add more fiber-rich foods to your meals. Think beans, lentils, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
