4 Benefits of Walking - And A Walking Challenge!

Hi everyone! It's that time of year when I roll out my annual 2-Week Walking Challenge - such a popular event that you can do anywhere, and at your pace! It's low-impact and you can walk at your own pace, so almost anyone can can do it! -Improved muscle tone. Walking helps to work your lower body, including your legs and booty, so you create sexy, strong muscles. It truly is a whole-body workout that you can do anytime, anywhere. And remember - the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn - even while you sleep!

-Enhanced mood. Exercise helps to boost endorphins - the feel-good neurotransmitters that can help you to manage stress. This Walking Challenge can help you boost your endorphins, in turn helping to improve your mood! Keep a journal and track your mood and outlook as you walk along with me and all the other people who have signed up... I bet at the end, you will have two weeks of feeling great!

-More flexibility. As we get older, flexibility is so important. It helps to prevent falls, more easily lift and lower our bodies and pick things up, and hold our bodies tall and straight, for better posture. Walking can help to promote flexibility, so add it to your workout routine!

And one of the best parts about walking is that you can do it anywhere - your living room, outdoors, at the mall... the places are endless!
