Hi everyone! My most recent magazine is now out, Fit Over 50: Amazing Year, Amazing New You! In this issue, I cover winter fitness suggestions to keep you active and feeling great, nutrition suggestions to boost your immune system, lifestyle advice to help look your best, and so much more - including tips for dressing for cold weather! While staying warm is of utmost importance, wintertime doesn't mean you have to forego what makes you feel attractive... try these tips for cozy, comfy and sexy winter-time outfits!

- Dress in layers. If you are pre-, peri- or in menopause, you know that layers are your friend when it comes to hot flashes. But layers also offer the opportunity to mix up outfits at any given outing! I love a blazer over a fitted sweater, where you can remove the blazer and show off all your workout efforts. Or a cardigan over a cute tee - remove the cardigan and you have a whole new look! Just be sure to balance out the proportions (i.e. an oversized blazer with skinny pants, or a cropped cardigan with high-waisted jeans) and you are good to go.

- Balance bulky sweaters with lower necklines. I love a cozy, chunky knit sweater, but they can be overwhelming when they are paired with a high neckline. I opt for a lower v-neck when the sweater is bulky (and the opposite - a thinner material if I am wearing a turtleneck). I think the juxtaposition offers a little bit of sexiness and playfulness!

- A cute heel can boost your confidence. When we are weighed down by the clothes, opt for a cute but walkable heel. Heels don't need to be high to gain that straightened spine and feeling of confidence they bring - even a one-inch heel can make a difference. I like a bootie with a wedge heel for walkability, and in the winter always choose a shoe with extra grip on the bottom to minimize slipping.

- Accessories can make all the difference! At the end of the day, sometimes I want to throw on a tried-and-true outfit that I know I look and feel good in, and that's when I reach for accessories! The holidays are the perfect time for a fun, oversized necklace that dresses up an outfit in no time at all. Grab a statement-making scarf that can double as a throw at a dinner out. Invest in a warm yet cute hat that protects you from the elements but makes a statement when you walk in the door. All are affordable ways to liven up your winter outfits.
