Hi everyone! My latest Fit Over 50: Your Anti-Inflammation Guide is now out, and I am so proud of this issue... it includes so many wonderful, actionable steps everyone can take to help quell inflammation and live a healthier life! From ways of eating and delicious recipes to lifestyle tips and exercise, it is a keepsake that will help guide you to making healthy, anti-inflammatory choices!

I have devoted a section of the magazine to workouts, because exercise is proven to help manage unhealthy chronic inflammation. Left unchecked, it can quietly fuel a range of health problems, from heart disease and Type 2 diabetes to arthritis, depression, and even certain cancers. So to help YOU stay motivated to minimize inflammation here are three forms of exercise I love to do to help keep inflammation at bay!

My Three Favorite Workouts To Manage Inflammation

1.Walking. I love walking - it is easy to do, requires little to no equipment, and is so enjoyable! Plus, when you do interval walking, you are taking your workouts up a notch when it comes to inflammation. That is why I am SO EXCITED to announce my upcoming new Anti-Inflammatory Walking Program! This 2-week program will kick off Monday, October 20th. You will do a daily Interval Walk - so good to help keep inflammation at bay! Plus healthy anti-inflammatory recipes, lifestyle tips and more - including Tension Tamers, another good way to manage anxiety and tension. Join in and be part of the fun - you won't regret it!

2.Yoga. Another way to manage stress and help keep inflammation levels down is yoga. It is the perfect combination of stretching while using  body weight resistance to gain muscle. After a yoga session, I feel calm yet also invigorated - it is wonderful! My Denise Austin Membership has dozens of yoga workouts - give them a try when you join, and do the wonderful yoga stretches that are part of my Anti-Inflammatory Walking Program - sign up to be part of it today!

3.Pickleball. Any exercise that includes others is always fun in my book, and I am fan of pickleball. It keeps you moving, gives you a great cardio workout, and uses your own body weight to create lean, healthy muscle. It's easy to learn, too - give it a try!

I hope these three tips for managing inflammation through exercise help motivate you to get in some movement each and every day! Don't forget to join my new Anti-Inflammatory Walking Program starting Monday, October 20th - sign up now to be part of the fun!

Let's live healthy and happy together!
