Workouts

Hi everyone! We are in the thick of the holiday season now, and I get asked a lot about how to keep moving and not let your exercise goals go to the wayside with parties, hosting, shopping and more. The good news is that it is simple, and you CAN do it!! A little movement paves the way for you to feel great physically and emotionally, plus allows you to burn extra calories so you can enjoy all the abundances of the holidays! Give these three tactics a try!

1) Walk (Even Indoors!). Walking is so good for you, and my Anti-Inflammatory Walking Program is going on right now… it even includes an Indoor Walk With Me Workout! You can throw this on when you have an extra 10 minutes, start the day out with the entire walk, or do it while you cook - using all the parts of your body when you can! And I never turn down a quick walk outdoors when the weather permits - a great mood-boosting, calorie-burning session!

2) Every Bit Counts! That’s the mantra behind my 25 Days of Fitness - a popular program in my membership. Quick, easy, doable workouts (think 3-minute arms, legs, core and booty programs, standing yoga poses, and tension-releasing moves) that you can do anywhere, anytime. Plus motivations to keep your holiday spirits high! Even if you stop what you are doing right now and do ten squats, you just burned some calories and strengthened your muscles - every little bit counts should be in the back of your mind all month long!

3) Mix It Up!
My latest magazine, Holidays My Way!, includes an advent calendar of moves to do every day this month - or any month! Standing crunches, side bends and leg pulses are just a  few of the daily moves to add to your to-do list. A fun, easy way to move different parts of your body, reaping all those benefits that movement brings to you! Available in store or online now - this issue makes a great stocking stuffer!

I hope these tips help you stay moving all month long - you don’t need a full session (though 20-30 of continuous movement is optimal), and if you can only squeeze in 10 minutes and there, it will still do your body and outlook good!

Let's live FIT, HAPPY and HEALTHY - together!
