One question I get asked frequently is what my morning routine is like. I love this question, because to me, how I start my morning is how I set the tone for my day. It’s the perfect opportunity to have a little “alone time,” while getting your mind and body started on a good note.

Do you have a morning routine? If you don’t, I encourage you to develop one. Here’s how I usually start each morning. Of course, you don’t need to do exactly what I do, but hopefully my routine sparks a little healthy inspiration for you! You can get more tips like this in my 10-Week Whole Body Plan, so check out your free trial today!

My Morning Routine:

1. Drink Warm Water With Lemon

Most weekdays, I wake up at 6:30 a.m. and begin the day with a glass of room temperature water with a squeeze of lemon. My grandma taught me this habit, which is so great for hydration, digestion, and metabolism.

2. Share A Cup Of Coffee With My Husband

My favorite ritual between my husband and me is enjoying a cup of coffee together each morning. Even when the girls were little, we got up early to share our coffee time. This little extra time with my partner helps us plan the day, catch up, and really focus on each other. I love it!

3. Squeeze In A Quick Workout

After finishing my coffee, I quickly change into my workout clothes to get motivated right away. I change up my workout routine all the time. Sometimes, I’ll go for a 30-minute walk/run. Other times, it’s a toning workout with light weights. And sometimes, it’s yoga. I just know that starting the day out with exercise helps set a healthy, goal-oriented tone for the rest of my day. You can do this too - work out with me in the mornings! Start your 7-day free trial of my 10-Week Whole Body Plan, and in the mornings let me inspire you and your workouts!

4. Enjoy A Yummy Breakfast

I love love love breakfast! One of my go-tos is my take on avocado toast. I chop up chives and parsley (great sources of vitamin C!), place them in a saucepan, and scramble up 2 eggs + 1 egg white. I eat the eggs with avocado and one piece of toast.

5. Practice Little Healthy Habits Throughout the Day

I try to keep practicing healthy habits all throughout the day to keep up the momentum from my morning routine. I’m always walking around while talking on the phone and taking one-minute stretching breaks every 30 minutes to keep my blood flowing.

If you already follow a morning routine, keep at it! If not, this week is your chance to start one! Get even more life tips, inspiration, workouts, recipes, and community support when you start your free trial of my Whole Body Plan
