I'm so honored to be on the cover of the May 11, 2020 issue of Woman's World Magazine, with an article on my tips for staying healthy and hopeful! I am on the cover with my daughter Katie, and it was so much fun to do this cover photo shoot - I love nothing more than spending time with my family, so this cover is extra special to me! You can find the magazine at your local grocery store or retailer, so look for it - it's on newsstands now!

In the article, I discuss tips for staying healthy and hopeful - such a timely topic with everything going on right now. From how I start my day to Fidget-cisers to help burn extra calories, you will find my six tips for staying healthy and hopeful! And here's some additional things not in the magazine that I suggest when it comes to staying healthy and hopeful:

  • Simplify Your Life by Getting Organized. Now is the perfect time to tackle those drawers, closets, pantries and storage spaces, clearing them out and getting organized. An hour spent tackling these areas can save you a lot of frustration down the road - frustration that can cause emotional stress. It will also make your life more efficient and productive, so make a list of areas you want to organize, break into what to tackle first, then really aim to spend 30 minutes to an hour each day until it's all done! You will feel so much better that next time you open that "junk drawer" and can find what you are looking for!
  • Stay Connected with Loved Ones.  Now more than ever, staying connected is so important. Studies show that in normal circumstances, people who stay connected live longer, more fulfilling lives... as we are at home more, some of us alone, really make it a point to reach out - even to people you may have lost touch with! Building and sustaining friendships and relationships is so important to aging gracefully, so make a list of people you have been meaning to catch up with but haven't, or those who you think could use a little special moment in their day, and give them a call, send an email or text, or set up a video chat - it's a great way to stay positive right now!
  • Keep Exercising! My last staying healthy and hopeful tip is to make sure you continue to get your daily exercise.  Thirty minutes of exercise most days of the week will help you avoid weight gain, help keep your heart and lungs in good shape, and give you a burst of energy. Plus - exercise is good for your mood! It's the best staying healthy and hopeful tactic in my opinion! You can break up your 30 minutes into 10-minute chunks, but really aim for getting 30 minutes at once - you will feel so good after. My DensieAustin.com membership offers 10-, 20-, and 30-minute workouts for all levels, beginner to advanced. You can do them right in your home, from your phone, computer, tablet or TV! I have an indoor walking workout, dozens of toning and strength-training workouts, plus cardio, Pilates, yoga and more. And a membership includes access to hundreds of my retro TV show workouts which are still such a fun thing to do and so popular, as well as my eating plan. I hope these staying healthy and positive tips help you and your family in the next few months - and further down the road! And for more staying healthy and hopeful insight, look for my interview in the latest Woman's World Magazine in retailers now!
