Try Adding Yoga To Your Routine!

Yoga is one of my favorite ways to workout and has been for many years!! It's the perfect compliment to the standard cardio and strength training that most people do. Yoga strengthens and stretches at the same time, so not only is it beneficial to your body in multiple ways - but it actually feels good too! If you've never tried yoga before, you may be intimidated to give it a try but I'm here to tell you that you CAN do it!! There are hundreds of yoga poses, and I'm going to share with you some of the more common ones that just happen to be my favorites. I do these poses often. Sometimes I warm up for a walk with a quick yoga sequence; if I'm feeling sore, yoga is my go-to; sometimes I even do an entire yoga routine as my workout for the day!

3 Beginner Yoga Poses:

  1. Warrior Pose: This pose strengthens your shoulders, arms, legs, ankles and back while opening up your hips, chest and lungs. You really feel just bout every inch of your body when doing this pose!
  2. Cobra Pose: Cobra opens your shoulder blades, neck and collar bones. This pose will help to improve posture, reduce back pain, and improve circulation.
  3. Triangle Pose: This pose strengthens your legs and back while stretching your inner thighs, hamstrings, calves, spine and also helps to open up your hips. Wow!
