Happy Earth Day! Being outside has always brought me so much joy. The warm sunshine and fresh air just puts me in a great mood! And for good reason, it's actually proven that getting outside regularly can benefit your health. Here are a few positive reactions you will have when getting outdoors more:

Improved Mental Health - Sunlight has been thought to ease depression symptoms. It is also a great excuse for a brain break! Step outside to get away from the flashing lights of your computer, phone and TV. You will come back in feeling refreshed after a good dose of Vitamin D!

Better Sleep - Being in sunlight can affect your circadian rhythm and help you to fall asleep faster at night and get more restful sleep. Fun fact - to make your daily dose of sunlight worth while it has to be taken in through your eyes. So drop those sunnies for a few minutes at a time!

Motivation to Exercise - Put on your sneakers and get outside, and I guarantee you will be more motivated to move! Take a quick workout routine outside as a change of pace, or warm up with a short walk around the block. Once you get going, you will want to KEEP going!

These are some amazing benefits you can see just by spending a little more time outside, but today is really about appreciating and doing what we can to protect our dear Mother Earth. It's so important that we all do what we can to protect this planet we have. Every little bit counts, and you can make a positive impact! Practice the three R's (yes, we are still talking about them!) - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Use your own grocery bags when you can. Walk anywhere you are able to, rather than drive. When you're meal prepping those healthy meals, use glass containers instead of plastic. Every little bit really does help - so let's all pitch in and protect our earth everyday!!

Let's live EVER BETTERâ„¢ - together!!
