Let's make today a GREAT day!!! Simple steps can set the tone for your day and make your day better... these are five I like to keep in mind when I want to make the most of my day. Give them a try and make them part of YOUR Summer Slimmer Challenge daily to-do!

  1. Make a mini to-do list. I looooove making lists! One of my favorite things is to wake up, have a glass of lemon water and my coffee, and think about what I want to accomplish that day. It could be as simple as "call my daughters" or a long list of errands I need to run. Crossing my to-do's off my list gives me a sense of satisfaction, plus a list helps me to organize my day.
  2. Get in a workout. This one probably isn't a surprise! But what may surprise you is that I don't always want to workout - it's true! Some days I wake up and am just not feeling it. But once I put on my workout clothes and shoes, and get to it, I am always glad I started and feel so much better afterwards. Even a 10-minute workout is better than nothing - it will get your blood flowing and boost your mood! I love this 10-minute workout from my 10-Week Plan, it is one of the most popular workouts in my Plan!

  3. Make a healthy meal. I love to cook - it is soothing, inspiring and satisfying all at the same time! I usually focus on a healthy lunch or dinner, depending on what my plans are. If you are new to the Plan, check out my Slow-Roasted Fish with Artichokes and Tomatoes and Broccoli Cauliflower Salad.
  4. Spend time with friends and loved ones. I try to practice positivity every day, including by hanging out or talking with the people I am closest too. It helps keep me grounded and can align my mood and outlook in a positive, healthy direction.
  5. Do a breathing exercise. I try to do breathing exercises in the morning, but often do them throughout the day - especially if I am feeling stressed out. My Stop The Clock Fitness Plan includes breathing exercises specific to different functions - to help pep you up, calm you down, and everything in between!

I hope you like these tips - try to implement a few today and see if they make your day better!
