I am a true believer that when you feel you best, you LOOK your best! Putting in the work to be Fit and Fabulous is more important and will give you more confidence than anything else!! There are three things in my life that I make a priority - these are all things I do every single day to feel my absolute best:
Exercise. As you all know, I've been in the fitness industry for 40 years. Fitness has been a part of my life and daily routine for as long as I can remember! Getting some type of movement in every single day puts me in the right mindset, gets my blood flowing and gives me the energy I need to stay positive and make it through each day.
80/20 Rule. This is how I have always approached nutrition. Eighty percent of the time I eat nutritious, healthy, real foods - so that twenty percent of the time I can indulge. Have a scoop of ice cream, enjoy a glass of wine, or eat a yummy burger at a summer BBQ. It's all about moderation!!
Gratitude. Train your brain to find the good in (not only the big things) the little things in life also. I love to keep a gratitude journal... it takes just a minute or two.Think of one thing that you are grateful for and write it down!! I like to do this either when I wake up in the morning or when I am winding down for the night. The act of writing your thoughts down will solidify them and it really is fun to go back and look through years of things that you have to be grateful for!
