Spring Into Shape: Lifestyle
First up is diet. To help minimize the look of cellulite, you will want to up your intake of water - a great way to flush toxins out of your body and naturally plump skin to minimize the look of wrinkles and cellulite! You will also want to minimize fried foods and foods with lots of salt, and instead focus on foods that are naturally high in water content, such as vegetables and fruits. I like to try to start every day with either fruits or veggies, either as a smoothie or as a topping on whatever else I am eating. (Try my Ginger-Mango Smoothie recipe!)
Next, be sure to get your circulation going. I am a big proponent of getting up every hour and moving around - circulation helps to keep your metabolism humming, a good thing in all ways! So set your watch or phone to alert you to get up and move around every hour - go climb a flight of stairs, do some jumping jacks, or just stretch. All are great for keeping cellulite at bay!
Finally, incorporate some toning exercises into your workouts. Target-toning workouts can help to tighten up muscles, which creates a smoother, more toned look. Some common cellulite problem areas are the backs of the arms, the legs, and the tummy. So try these three workouts to help target-tone the areas that you want to firm up, tone and tighten!
